Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-10-12 · Operated by FoxTether LLC

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using FoxTether (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

FoxTether is a hosted service provided by FoxTether LLC ("we", "us", "our"). It connects sources to the destinations you choose and shows you the health of everything in between. Features may be added or changed, and we tell you before a change removes something you rely on. These terms cover the hosted service.

A self-hosted Site Server deployment is governed by the Site Server License Agreement. If we sign a separate written agreement with you (an enterprise agreement with a service level, for example), that agreement controls where the two conflict.

3. Fees and service levels

The hosted service has three plans: Free, Hobby, and Business. Each plan says how many gateways, sources, live connections, and egress destinations a workspace may add, some of them without a set limit, and sets a monthly delivery allowance for data delivered to your egresses. On Free and Hobby, delivery pauses when the month's allowance is used. It resumes the next month, or sooner if you move to a larger plan, and on Hobby if you add a delivery block. On Business, delivery continues under fair use and we talk to you before anything changes. Apart from that pause, reaching a limit never stops what is already running. Each paid plan renews automatically at the end of its billing period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel in one step from Settings, Billing at any time, and your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for. We email a reminder before each yearly renewal, and on a monthly plan before the renewal that crosses each year of service. Prices are shown before you pay and are billed in USD, plus any taxes that apply where you are. We give at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects you. Refunds are at our discretion except where the law requires them. No service level agreement applies unless we sign a separate agreement that says otherwise, and support is best effort.

4. Your account

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you route through the Service. You grant us a limited license to receive, transmit, and process that data solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for your sources and destinations: for having the right to collect and route the data they produce, including complying with any recording, surveillance, and privacy laws that apply to devices such as cameras, for providing any notices or signage the law requires to the people your devices record, and for the consequences of where you send it.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing. They do not transfer any ownership. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service or others' data, no infringement of others' rights, and no use that would expose us to legal liability.

8. Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOXTETHER LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your devices, or your breach of these terms, including claims that data you collected or routed through the Service was captured or used unlawfully. This does not apply to claims caused by our own breach of these terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may cancel a paid plan in one step from Settings, Billing. Deleting a workspace cancels its plan at once. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service, and if we discontinue it we refund any prepaid period we do not deliver. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will change the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
